Instructions
Step 1/6
Peel the potatoes and boil them until almost tender. They should preferably be slightly undercooked.
Step 2/6
Cool them down – they can be prepared the day before serving.
Step 3/6
Make the caramel sauce by melting the sugar in a pan until it becomes dark caramel.
Step 4/6
Add the butter and then the water. Let it boil through while stirring until all the caramel is melted and the sauce is liquid. This can be prepared well in advance.
Step 5/6
Before serving, heat the caramel sauce on the pan.
Step 6/6
Add the potatoes and let them boil in the caramel for 4-5 minutes, shaking the pan regularly, until the potatoes are heated through and glazed with caramel.
